The Urbitarte cider, cider outside the traditional route, was founded in 1991 in Ataun. Located in the Ergoiena neighborhood gets lots of visitors from neighboring Navarre, since it is directly connected. It is located in a mountainous enclave, and facing the vicissitudes of winter, remains open until almost the end of spring, so that people can use the visit. Currently produces around 150,000 liters of cider per year.
