Founded in 1758 and originally known as the Backhouse & Hartley Brewery, John Smith's Brewery traces it's roots back to Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England. The company is famous for it's Bitter and Extra Smooth Ales, which have been amongst Britain's best selling ales since the 1990s.
