We'd been brewing up beer in the kitchen at home for a few years. In 1995, we were informed that Ed's corporate employer of eleven years was leaving the area (NAFTA). Not wanting to move, and having had enough of the corporate world, we decided to do some research and see what was out there. At that time there were no breweries, brew pubs or microbreweries in our area. A two week vacation to Nova Scotia was inspirational. It was the comradery of the brewers, owners and staff members that really sold us on the idea of opening our own establishment.The Micro Brewery people we've met have been generous beyond our wildest expectations, with information, how-to, where to find it, etc.
