For over 180 years beer has been brewed in Königseggwald. 1820 was built by the Earl of Königsegg the "Counts Königsegg'sche brewery". In 1874, the brewer Fridolin Härle acquired the brewery. Between 1874 and 2003, the privately owned brewery was the families Härle. In 2003, over 1,200 shareholders, the brewery saved from closure and founded the KING EGGER WALDER BRÄU AG.
