Boon Island Ale is a gathering place where the Maine Microbrews are ice cold and fresh. Our Brewer, Don Chandler (of Oak Pond Brewery) has crafted some of the finest ale you will ever taste. All of the BIA featured ales are brewed in Skowhegan Maine. They are from grain. No priming sugars are added. The featured NUTBROWN ALE uses 8 different malts, toasted and coffee like tones. Imported English hops provide a full a pleasant hop profile. The BIA featured INDIA PALE ALE is a medium bodied ale with a smooth spicy hop flavor; finishes with a fine hop aroma. The BIA featured LAGER is a smooth dry pils in the German tradition. With a longer brew time and a temperature controlled environment. This golden pilsner provides a crisp, refreshing flavor with a creamy dense head. The BIA featured LIGHT is light, crisp ale with a smooth, clean finish - light hopping with a hint of wheat malt blend, in a mellow brew with a creamy white head.
