The Vance Toe River Lodge was originally built in 1919 as the T. B. Vance General Store. After trading hands through the years and seeing its fair share of abuse it was renovated by the Young family and continues to evolve. With that evolution came the expansion of our “Lodge Family”. When Aaron Maas moved to Plumtree, NC in 2009 as an avid home brewer, the dream to open a brewery slowly moved towards reality. After 3 painstaking years, the brewery finally opened in July of 2012. We are excited to be able to live in such a wonderful place and still have the ability to follow our passions. Come out to Plumtree so we can prove to you that we’re nuts about beer!!
