Bloom Brew is co-owned by Jeff Bloom and Steve Denk. Jeff and Steve have a combined 8 years of home-brewing experience which is now being embodied by Bloom Brew's exquisite repertoire of craft beers! What started out as a hobby quickly grew into an obsession... The founder's story - Jeff Bloom Steve & I met through work and our common interest in brewing was immediately apparent. Everything we initially brewed together came out of my home kitchen. Soon enough, we were asked to participate in some non-profit beer shows, starting with our first invitation from Barks & Brews of the Beaver County Humane Society - we were immediately hooked! People loved our beer and kept asking us where they could buy it. At first we explained we were just home brewers and couldn't sell it, but could only give it away at non-profit events. Finally, in February 2013, we had a change of heart, took the leap and decided to open our own brewery - thus, Bloom Brew was born. With a lot of hard work and a ton of sweat equity, Bloom Brew now has a place to call our own. Our brewery is located at 100 Riverside Dr, in West Newton, Pennsylvania (USA). We share space with the West Newton Volunteer Fire Department and are proud to say we have developed a beer exclusively to benefit this fire-hall, which we call 82 Hot Head Red, and 10% of all sales of this beer will benefit them! All of our beers are handcrafted in small batches using as many local ingredients as possible. We have a two-acre fruit orchard, raise our own bees and grow some of our own hops - so the ingredients in our beer are also home-grown! Further, we process 90% of the fruit we use by hand! We're serious about our beer and our brewing and have 24 beers on draft at all times. When those kick, we are always ready to have an additional 24 to put on tap! That's makes a total of 48 different beers you can experience at our brewery. We may be small but our beer will speak for itself. This is a dream come true for Steve and I .
